ROLE-PLAY

Role-playing in Rust means giving your survivor a job and a story. Nothing in the game forces it, so the rules are the ones you and your server agree on.
Pick a way of life from the Homestead page: farmer, fisher, trader, cook, scavenger, hunter or medic.
Give your character a name, a home and a goal for the wipe, such as feeding the village for a month.
Use the NPC missions as story beats. The Fisherman, Hunter and Lumberjack each give a little errand.
Ask the server for its rules on peace, trade and raids. Many community servers publish them.
Keep a journal. Write down what you built, who you met and what you want next.
These are playstyle ideas, not official rules.
