ROLE-PLAY

1 MIN READ

Most role-play servers and events share a few habits. These are the ones the Rust Roleplayers rules spell out, put in plain words.

Talk before you shoot. Challenge people with dialogue or a clear signal first. Killing with no story reason is not allowed. Declared wars and defending something important, such as a monument, are the exceptions.

Monuments are combat zones. If you die there, you do not carry the grudge back into town as revenge role-play.

No cheating, scripts or exploit abuse. A game ban in the last 6 months can make you ineligible.

No insiding: joining a group to steal from it or leak its codes.

No metagaming: do not use stream chat or Discord to learn where people are.

Do not harass or grief people out of character. It gets you removed.

Do not look for loopholes. If it breaks the spirit of the event, it is a violation.

Rules differ per server. This is a summary of the Rust Roleplayers event rules, not a rule set for yours.
