BIOME STRENGTHS WATCH OUT FOR

Temperate Plenty of metal, stone, sulfur. Rivers full of corn and pumpkins. Forests give hemp and berries. Swamps give free sulfur. Busy servers. Wet at night drains health. Flat building spots are rare.

Desert Rivers with food. Giant Excavator and Military Base here. Cacti give cloth. A cheap wood triangle foundation stops animals chasing you. Wood is scarce. Hemp does not grow wild. Nights are cold, days are hot.

Arctic Lots of ore, sulfur and trees. Bears feed you. Meat keeps in wooden boxes. Cold kills. An Arctic Suit gives 33% cold protection and keeps you dry. Aim for about 20 cold protection in total. Cloth is the bottleneck, and crops need seeds from another biome.

A triangle thatch foundation costs 25 wood. Stand on it and animals give up the chase. It does not work on players.

Wetsuit with a hide poncho over it gives good cold and radiation protection and keeps you dry.

Mid-difficulty monuments need about 11 radiation protection.

Hemp for the desert and arctic comes from the beach or the temperate forests on the way in.

Sprinklers can soak raiders in the arctic and make them colder and blind.
