The stables are at Large Barn and Ranch, run by a stable master. Listen for banjo music.

Prices: single saddle 75 scrap, double saddle 90, roadsign armor 100, HQ horseshoes 40.

Look at the horses, press E to see stats and pick a good one before you buy the saddle.

Thoroughbreds, chestnuts and piebalds are fastest. Bay horses have more health.

Turrets guard both places. Combat tagging can set them off, and a fight there blocks you from returning for about 30 minutes.
